You may be reading this thinking how can I be an Audit Senior without finishing the ACA or ACCA? Well, this is a UK sub of a Big 4's EU sister company and therefore, the rules are quite different. The head office is based in France where you would typically complete a 5-year degree to become a qualified auditor and therefore, this carries in the London subsid too!

With this firm, you get the benefit of working with listed clients expanding into the UK (often very exciting) as well as, established brands with subs here in the UK. Therefore, you could be auditing a start-up or a multi-billion pound company, and in any sector - there are no formal specialisms. You get that much variety, with the backing of a Big 4 brand and its support.

Now obviously, you will need to be able to:

  • Lead large audits (£50m+ t/os at least)
  • Lead teams of several individuals on audit
  • Communicate well
  • Function under-pressure, and have proven experience of dealing with demanding clients

Naturally, if you are working for a top firm already, it will be a much more feasible transition. My client would also like to see a minimum of 3+ years of audit experience.

The plan is currently to work from home until 2021 (voluntary office-bound work until then) and then to move to a 2/3 day week from the office but a highly flexible attitude to work.
