Director of Finance Planning and Analysis: £70,000 - £85,000 + Benefits

For a global organisation, we're recruiting a Director of Finance Planning & Analysis on a permanent basis. The Director of FP&A will lead all strategic and operational finance for a global Division. Reporting to the Finance Director, the FP&A Director will partner with global Service Directors and be a trusted member of the Leadership Team. This role will ensure financial strategy delivers business growth and will provide financial and commercial analysis for decision making. The FP&A Director will play a key part in developing expertise across global teams and creating a single finance service and culture as well as championing new processes and ways of working in collaboration with the Finance Transformation Programme.

Main Duties:

  • Leadership on a day-to-day basis of the UK-based Global FP&A teams
  • Strategic Leadership of all FP&A activities across the organisation
  • Lead all global planning and forecasting processes for the Division and the production of financial budgets and forecasts
  • Drive outstanding business performance of the Division globally
  • Lead a UK-based team of Analysts to build partnerships with internal customers to support commercial, cost-management and investment advice
  • Provision and assurance of financial insights for all divisional activities to inform decision-making
  • Delivery of multi-year and rolling financial planning processes across regions.
  • Delivery of processes for investment planning and realisation and tracking of financial benefits
  • Development and delivery of in-year targets and the Operational Finance Plan
  • Build finance capacity, capability and professional confidence in the business
  • Quality review financials and cost pricing model for new products and lines of business
  • Leadership of the Product Profitability Reporting initiative which will deliver globally consistent profitability analysis for products
  • Provide investment appraisal, service unit / product costing and pricing, "what-if" financial modelling and other financial requests

Person Specification:

  • CCAB qualified accountant with substantial financial leadership experience
  • Experience of working in international, global organisations
  • Strong commercial finance experience gained in a company undergoing change and growth
  • Experience of investment project appraisals
  • Financial Planning and monitoring including MI reporting
  • Development and optimisation of SAP accounting
  • Experience of new product development reporting
  • Managing and developing teams through change
