Your role: The EMEA Head of Tax, In-House

The primarily responsibilities for the EMEA Head of Tax, In-House, will centre on the daily management of the tax operations for a team of 9, primarily focused on the pan-European market. Providing ongoing support to a collaborative and experienced Global Head of Tax, your role will be broad and scope and cover tax provisioning, compliance, audit management, advisory and strategic project involvement. A key advisory piece will involve monitoring and overseeing tax-related regulatory/legislative advancements, advising on risks across EMEA.

The breadth of taxes will include direct and indirect taxes, additionally incorporating transfer pricing work and liaising with the finance team to manage tax-impacting accounts. In this internationally focused firm, you will be overseeing the launches of new products/projects, including structured and cross-border transactions, with the appropriate sign-off authority. An additional responsibility will be to add value in assisting businesses to reach profitability targets/growth, complying with group reporting needs for half-year/annual returns.


What the EMEA Head of Tax, In-House will need to succeed:

  • Broad taxation experience, across EMEA jurisdictions
  • CTA/ACA/CPA/ICAS essential
  • People-management skills
  • The ability to instruct with high-level compliance oversight/advisory capacity, but additionally not be averse to rolling sleeves up where necessary
  • Commercially astute - able to think and deliver technically but deliver sound commercial insight where necessary
