In-House Tax Manager, Financial Services

Central London - working from home encouraged

£70,000-£80,000 + uncapped bonuses

A major financial services business is seeking a progression-focused In-House Tax Manager, reporting into the Head of Corporate and International Tax. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of entities in numerous countries within EMEA region. They will focus on ensuring direct tax compliance and reporting obligations are met; however will also be responsible for tax authority audits, providing support to the business on a variety of technical issues and business partnering with other in-house and specialist tax/finance teams.

The opportunity sits within the corporate and international tax team and will suit an ambitious Tax Manager from the Big 4 who is looking for a promising in-house career within the financial services. While the bulk of the role focuses on oversight of corporation taxation/reporting, there is the flexibility and opportunity to get involved in new areas, as desired (e.g., transfer pricing/indirect tax work and advisory).

The successful candidate's CV:

  • ACA/CTA qualified with demonstrable experience in the financial services - insurance/asset management experience preferred but not essential.
  • Likely trained within a top professional practice, but prior tax experience with a complex and multinational organisation is essential.
  • Tax accounting experience under IFRS, or UK/US GAAP is essential
  • Mainstream European language skills are advantageous but not essential
