In-House Tax Manager

London, Financial Services

£80,000 + bonuses & flexibility

This is a newly created role will support the Group Tax function with reporting and advisory responsibilities for International and UK tax accounting and transfer pricing matters within the London branch.


  • Point of contact for tax issues for the UK Wealth & Asset Management business, and international clients (withholding taxes, FATCA, UK income tax for capital income)
  • Tax accounting and support of transfer pricing models and documentation for the UK branch
  • Controlling and compliance in relation to UK VAT regulations
  • Checking incoming invoices for tax purposes especially of non-deductible expenses and requirements for the partnership income tax return
  • Coordination of tax audits and set up of internal governance for tax compliance
  • Support and coordination of tax issues for IT projects (e.g. tax reports)
  • Support US subsidiaries in US Tax issues
  • Close communication and work with the Group Tax department in Hamburg on a frequently basis


  • Chartered Tax Accountant (CTA) qualification
  • Industry experience in the financial sector, in particular Private Client and Investment Banking
  • Experience in US-withholding tax QI-regulations, FATCA- and CRS-regulations
  • Experiences in UK taxation of partnerships and financial products;
  • Experiences in international taxation and transfer pricing models
  • Degree level education in a relevant discipline required
  • Additional professional qualifications for UK and international taxes;
  • Fluent written and spoken English essential; advanced German language skills are beneficial, but not essential
  • MS Office advanced IT skills, including all standard, up to date Office applications
