This Private Client Tax Senior Associate opportunity is with what is widely considered to be the leading Practice in Kent with the head of tax winning multiple awards and publications for his work. The Practice was established in London over 80 years ago and now consists of 18 Partners and over 140 staff making it the largest single office Accountancy in Kent. The Firms office is based in the centre of Canterbury, just a short walk from shops, restaurants, the gym and local amenities. The office is easily commutable by public transport, with a short walk to Canterbury East and West train station and free parking on site for those who prefer to drive to work. The office itself is stunning in an old double fronted building with a modern yet classic interior. The main meeting room includes a large antique table that could seat 20, with a large marble fireplace and various pieces of artwork throughout the room. Moving through the office, the main floor is bright modern and airy with a mainly open plan.


As a Private Client Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients which will mostly consist of HNW clients based in Kent, London and internationally. A Private Client Tax Senior will provide both Compliance and Advisory services. You will be expected to act as a key point of contact within the firm for your portfolio of clients, which will involve responding quickly to, as well as anticipating client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in regard to all aspects of the service provided and maintaining regular contact with clients. As a Private Client Tax Senior, you will have the authority to delegate work to some of the more junior members of staff and be responsible for reviewing their compliance work. The Assistant Manager should also be able to recognise business development opportunities, informing and working with the Senior team to develop these when they arise, attending business development meetings.

In order to be considered for this opening, you will need:

  • To be CTA qualified
  • Extensive compliance knowledge coupled with strong advisory skills for HNW clients
  • Experience managing your own portfolio
  • Leadership experience would be beneficial
  • A commercially minded individual

In addition:

  • Non-dom experience is preferred
  • Strong trusts knowledge would be advantageous
