Head2Head Sensory Theatre is seeking several Trustees to join and play vital roles during a particularly exciting time of growth and expansion. Whatever your background we would love to add to the diversity of our thinking so please do get in touch! We would particularly like to hear from you if you have a background in strategy, marketing, fundraising, finance and special educational needs' and disabilities.
Where: Surrey (KT21) and/or mainly at home
Travel limit: Ideally candidates should live or work in London or South East alternatively be prepared to attend meetings in person (at least one pa)
Remuneration: This Trustee position is not remunerated but reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed in line with Charity Commission guidelines
Estimate of time needed: Approximately 6 hours / month

About Head2Head Sensory Theatre:
Our charity is dedicated to the Special Needs' Community. We are passionate about making theatre accessible to all and understand that families who have a child with a disability face many barriers. We raise awareness, share knowledge and develop new ways to make this happen. We include opportunities for self-development and learning by offering work experience to students transitioning from education.
We provide immersive and interactive multi-sensory shows for special schools and the local community throughout London and the South East reaching over 3000 children with disabilities and over 2000 family members / carers each year. Our activities provide layers of entertainment, both verbal and sensory, so that users, their neurotypical siblings and other family members, are fully engaged.
What will you be doing?
You will bring your skills, attributes, expert knowledge, experience and contacts to enrich our board and benefit our charity. Head2Head Sensory Theatre will flourish with you actively leading, championing and developing the services we offer. For the charity you will:
- Utilise your special skills providing advice in your area of expertise
- Make connections for the benefit of the charity
- Be a team player
- Have your say but at times to suit you (we suggest an average of 6 hours a month)
- Discuss key issues with fellow trustees via Skype / Zoom (with one face-to-face meeting pa)
- Act collectively with the board in taking decisions and supporting their implementation
- Protect and develop the charity into national status.
What are we looking for?
We wish to recruit trustees who are passionate about our charity's work. We are proud of the progress we have made in the past 14 years and are seeking individuals who are able to take the charity to the next phase by making key decisions in terms of the expansion and who will champion its development. Ideal candidates will have can-do attitudes, very strong networking skills enabling leads for the benefit of the charity, as well as expert knowledge and experience necessary for this exciting transition.

We are diversifying our board and you will have a vital role in achieving the charity's objectives. You will be an ambassador for the charity during a critical period of transition and your expert knowledge and experience will be invaluable to its success. You will have a key role in ensuring we are able to grow sustainability, develop and reach the children who are in need of our support and inclusion.
