A highly recognised and respected commercial public-sector company based in London are looking for a Bids Writer to join their Bid Team on a permanent basis. The Bids writer will be working multi-million pound international and UK tenders that are essential to business activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Bid Writer will be expected identify possible and suitable tender opportunities via daily horizon scanning of government, public sector and tender tracking channels
  • The Bid Writer will be writing proposals from scratch and will have the adaptability to tailor the content to be bespoke to the target audience
  • The Bid Writer will be expected to engage internal stakeholders for valued bids input
  • Take responsibility for any bid note taking in bid meetings and work accordingly to external and internal bids timescales
  • Produce reports on bid outcomes to track wins and losses
  • Use initiative to ensure all information is abstracted from relevant sources to produce high quality proposals and tenders

Key Skills:

  • Must have previous experience of working on bids, tenders and proposals from scratch
  • Experience of working for a public-sector organisation, government body or education provider is highly desirable
  • Need to understand or have experience in government bidding processes
  • Must posses excellent project management skills to ensure multiple tender submissions are sufficiently monitored and prioritised
  • Must have excellent writing skills
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and can collaborate and engage with colleagues across the wider business
  • Need to possess proficient IT skills (MS Suite package experience is highly desirable)
  • A degree or similar qualification in communications is desirable but not essential
