Donor Contract Manager (London or The Midlands) up to £31,140

On behalf of a large nationwide public sector organisation based in London and the Midlands, we are recruiting for a Public Sector Funding Contract Manager on a permanent basis. As part of the National Operations Team, this role will work across operations and finance to maximise income, ensure compliance and raise awareness of contract performance. The Contracts and Project Funding Manager will manage a Contracts Officer.

Main Duties:

  • Manage, motivate and lead small team of Contract Executives
  • Ensure Funder recommendations and internal audits are acted upon
  • Ensure funding contract guidance are produced and coordinated ensuring contract conditions are met
  • Ensure contract claims are prepared enabling the Trust to maximise income and ensure internal financial processes are adhered to
  • Ensure all funding evidence is collected and stored appropriately to comply with funder audit requirements
  • Prepare reports on the performance (financial and operational delivery) of contracts and escalate any issues to delivery, fundraising and head of contract management
  • Manage relationships with contract owners, funders, fundraisers and operations
  • Ensure staff understand delivery and reporting requirements for claims and invoices
  • Prepare contract performance reports
  • Maximise drawdown and producing accurate claims for approval
  • Liaise with regional operations teams to ensure SLA are met
  • Ensure outcomes and targets are reported to funders
  • Reporting including MRFs. Forecasting, Contract Management Reports
  • Issue regular funder reports, analyse returns and approve payments
  • Ensure annual budgets are consistent
  • Ensure all projects comply with conditions set by the funder

Person Specification:

  • Experience in managing multiple public sector funding contracts in the charity sector
  • Exposure to ERDF, ESF, Big Lottery funding, FE, Local Authority or Central Government Funding
  • Experience of using Raisers Edge
  • Experience of using software to track and monitor contract performance
  • Experience of preparing and updating funding budgets using Cognos, Sun, Vision and Excel
  • Financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting experience
  • Experience of contracts and SLA's
  • Experience of prepayments, accruals, deferrals and restricted funds
  • Excellent staff management skills
