This Employment Tax Manager has been created as a result of growth of the tax division. As this is the first time the role has been created, there is a real opportunity to shape the role and there is the ability to add value in this area of tax.
This tax division has grown significantly over the past few years and is now seen as the key service line. Within this role you'll be reporting directly into the Employment Tax Senior Manager who has been with the firm for over 30 years who will support and assist in your development. Once established in the role there will be the opportunity for further career progression depending on your performance and career ambitions.
This role will initially focus on UK issues although, there is scope for the role to broaden out to international aspects. The work you will be focussing on is:
- HMRC disclosures and enquiries
- Due Diligence
- PAYE risk assessment and health checks
- Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
- Technical Guidance for P11D's and PAYE Settlement Agreements compliance team
- International assignments and STBY arrangements
- Employment status including IR35 and agency matters
The ideal candidate will have experience in this area and be a central point for all employee share scheme planning going forward. In addition to this, you will need a broad general knowledge of taxation principals across corporation tax, VAT and income tax would be beneficial in order to appreciate the wide impact of employment taxes.
