FP&A Analyst, Circa. £46,000 + benefits

For a global organisation with headquarters in central London, we're recruiting a Financial Planning Analyst. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the Financial Planning Analyst will deliver all planning and reporting requirements for the commercial division for both internal and Group purpose ensuring that outputs are timely, accurate, relevant and above all - informative.

Main Duties:

  • Support the annual and quarterly planning processes, taking ownership of identifying and building solutions to analyse and present the plan
  • Support the month-end reporting processes
  • Ensure accurate reporting, and management of accruals and prepayments
  • Ensure Hyperion Essbase Planning and Consolidation tool reflects plans and actuals
  • Collaborate with Group Finance to improve the efficiency, quality and timeliness of planning and reporting
  • Deliver high quality reporting and analysis ensuring information is presented clearly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Identify enhancements and support the delivery of system changes to enhance reporting
  • Work with Finance Business Partner's and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver bespoke reports
  • Support the training of finance and non-finance staff in SAP

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in an FP&A role
  • A deep understanding of management accounting
  • Experience of working effectively with a Group Finance function
  • Experience of SAP and Hyperion Essbase
  • CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified (or studying towards)
  • Strong understanding of the underlying accounting treatments of transactions and ability to spot anomalies
  • Personable approach to financial management and able to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability and experience of communicating and influencing at a senior level
