An outstanding children's health charity based in London are looking for a Head of Marketing & Communications to lead their marketing and communications team on a permanent basis. As Head of Marketing & Communications you will be responsible for all marketing, communications and fundraising activities including all media management, PR, content and social media. This position is an excellent chance to implement a marketing strategy that provides happiness and respite to ill children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Head of Marketing & Communications will lead the digital strategy to increase the charity's reach, engagement and conversion
  • As Head of Marketing & Communications you will work with the directors to manage and develop channels for internal and external communications
  • The Head of Marketing & Communications will sensitively communicate all charity activity and build relationships with the families
  • Oversee the implementation of the recent introduction of a new CRM system (ThankQ) and make best use of the tool to identify new target markets
  • Work with the fundraising team to create exciting fundraising campaigns
  • Oversee all digital marketing with the support of the digital marketing manager, including social media advertising, digital advertising and PPC
  • Develop and expand the KPI framework to successfully measure campaigns and engagement
  • Increase the reach and conversion on all social media platforms
  • Research and introduce new engaging content, activities and campaigns
  • Improve the charity ranking through assured media monitoring
  • Set a strategy for all media enquiries and requests
  • Educate internal stakeholders on great marketing content and upcoming trends

Key skills:

  • A degree or relevant qualification in digital marketing and or marketing would be highly desirable
  • Must have proven experience of increasing engagement and conversion using digital channels
  • Must have a strong knowledge of charity legislation and the Charities Act to ensure all PR, Marketing and Communications activity is compliant
  • Experience of raising brand awareness for a charity is highly desirable
  • Business planning and budget management experience is highly desirable
  • Must have CRM experience (ThankQ would be highly desirable)
  • Must have strong demonstrable and quantifiable experience in increasing business social media presence
  • Need to have a background in HTML and CMS (WordPress experience would be highly desirable)
  • Must have E-mail newsletters experience (Mail Chimp experience is highly desirable)
  • Website management and multimedia content experience is essential
  • Need to be highly motivated and team driven
  • Line management experience is highly desirable
