£65,000 - £75,000 + bonus & benefits

City of London (2/3 days per week)

A multinational and US-headed financial services business is recruiting for an In-House Assistant Tax Manager to be a part of their growing team in London and wider Europe. Reporting to the Senior International Tax Manager, the successful candidate will take a broad, direct and international tax focus, including transfer pricing elements. Additional key stakeholders to this position include the Head of Tax, Tax Compliance & Reporting/Transfer Pricing teams, alongside the FP&A & financial accounting teams.

Some specific responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting on corporate tax compliance processes on both a UK and pan-European scale.
  • Supporting with seasonal and routine tax reporting processes.
  • Working with external advisors and assisting in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Monitoring risks associated with the implementation of transfer pricing policies.
  • Supporting on inbound inquiries from domestic and overseas tax authorities
  • Monitoring and identifying tax risks arising from transactions.
  • Keeping abreast of tax legislative developments.
  • Supporting with tax forecasting, including tax input to the forecasts and budgets and explaining variances to key stakeholders

This makes a wonderful opportunity for the recently qualified Chartered Accountant/Tax Advisor to start their in-house career with a recognised and prosperous financial services business. Considering the Pan-European focus to this position, the successful candidate will find the opportunity for overseas travel also.

The successful candidate

  • ACA/CTA newly qualified
  • Demonstrable experience in a UK corporate tax accounting role
  • Financial services experience and experience with deferred taxes are required
  • International tax and transfer pricing experience desirable (not essential)
  • Experience in working with tax software advantageous
  • The right to work permanently in the UK without sponsorship requirements
  • Any mainstream European language skills are considered a bonus point
