£85,000 - £95,000 + bonuses & benefits
City-based role with hybrid working (2:3 split)
A growing insurance business will be appointing a Tax Manager for an exciting in-house opportunity based in the City. This position will deliver on a broad range of tax compliance and advisory matters, including direct/indirect taxes and supporting on international tax developments also. Specific areas will include:
- Group tax reporting and forecasting
- Preparation and filing of UK corporate tax returns
- Review of VAT returns ahead of submission
- Transfer Pricing & country-by-country reporting
- Diverted Profits Tax reporting and CFC tax analysis
- Supporting with BEPS 2.0 analysis
- Assistance with wider tax matters as required, working with external advisors
Working closely with the Group Head of Tax, the successful candidate will take an active role in supporting on key projects. In reporting directly to a recognised industry leader, this opportunity offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and will provide ample learning/development opportunities.
This makes a wonderful opportunity for the qualified tax professional with prior in-house experience within the financial services, or alternately, an experienced Tax Manager from the professional services with sector-relevant experience. We are looking for the following CV attributes:
- ACA/CTA qualification or equivalent
- UK corporate tax compliance and reporting experience
- Any tax advisory experience advantageous
- Conceptual understanding of wider taxes (i.e., indirect) strongly preferred
- Proficiency with excel and Alphatax (preferred)
- FS experience is essential, and insurance-specific experience considered a bonus
- The right to work permanently in the UK
