PMO Manager, Canary Wharf (8 months FTC) up to £40,000

For a large regulatory body with HQ in London, we're recruiting several PMO Managers to support a central programme PMO function with day to day activities in planning, monitoring and reporting on programme activity across several workstreams. The PMO Managers will provide high quality project management resource to the team, ensuring the programme has controls, delivery is tracked, risks are managed, and change is controlled in terms of external delivery partners as well as internally.

Main Duties:

  • Managing assigned projects/ activities to agreed time, cost and quality
  • Support senior decision makers by monitoring and providing reporting on progress, risks and issues
  • Ensure project management documents (plans, logs, strategies) remain fit for purpose
  • Develop and maintain delivery plans
  • Planning, tracking and reporting on outputs and outcomes
  • Resource and budget planning and management
  • Risk and issue management
  • Management of inter-dependencies
  • Maintaining quality control and project assurance standards and tracking their implementation
  • Maintaining and tracking change control procedures
  • Developing stakeholder maps and management plans
  • Building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups

Person Specification:

  • Experience of project management, project delivery and PMO roles
  • Experience of working in a central PMO/project delivery environment
  • Excellent project management techniques including planning, scheduling, risk and issue management and change control
  • Ability to work across multiple projects, manage own time and deal with conflicting priorities
  • Experience of MS Project
  • Experience in procurement and contract management
