Commercial Analyst, up to £55,000 + benefits

For a global organisation with headquarters in central London, we're recruiting a Commercial Analyst (Revenue and Profitability) to deliver meaningful revenue, KPI and product profitability analysis, reporting and forecasting. The Commercial Analyst will act as a Business Partner, communicating their findings and analysis to the business for SMT to make decision and review the product portfolio, transform the cost base and mitigate risks while leveraging opportunities to grow revenue and profit.

Main Duties:

  • Share customer, product, market, economic and other insight and analysis with the Commercial Planning, Product and Sales Teams to best forecast sales and revenue
  • Develop sales and revenue models for planning and reporting
  • Define and report on sales and revenue KPI's
  • Own and deliver revenue budget and quarterly revenue forecast
  • Develop and own product profitability models, focusing on gross profit and then considering methods and viability of allocation methods for quarterly net profit reporting
  • Work with FP&A team to improve revenue recognition processes for management accounting
  • Business partner with the Commercial Planning, Product and Marketing teams to help with cost management

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in high volume sales, revenue business partnering role, ideally from retail or FMCG
  • Strong Excel modelling and pricing experience
  • Ideally CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified (or studying towards)
  • Strong understanding of the underlying accounting treatments of transactions and ability to spot anomalies
  • Personable approach to financial management and able to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability and experience of communicating and influencing at a senior level
