The opportunity: Tax Manager, In-House

Within this role you will be part of the in-house tax team which currently consists of around 50 people on a global scale, of which 11 are in the UK with 5 located in Ipswich. The successful candidate will provide support around UK corporate tax issues as well as gaining with some valuable exposure to international issues.

Day to day this role reports into a manager and is split between UK tax compliance and reporting, assisting with US GAAP reporting. As an integral part of the team you will have some responsibility for ensuring the group's UK tax compliance and governance obligations are met, whilst also supporting the wider business on ad-hoc projects that need tax input. The UK is a significant jurisdiction for the Group and has material tax attributes in its holding, trading financing and service companies. The role holder will therefore be exposed to the international facing UK tax issues that are typically managed by a large multinational with a significant UK hub.

What the Tax Manager, In-House will need to succeed:

  • Demonstrable experience in financial accounting/reporting or tax is advantageous
  • Strong commercial acumens, international focus and attention to detail
  • Tax/accounting qualifications are desirable, with study support available
  • System savvy, experience with ERPs preferred
  • Ambitious, articulate and team player
