This specialist tax enquiry firm have a focus upon managing HMRC enquiries to a settlement. They pride themselves upon their open and transparent relationships with clients which it considers is unique in this sector.
They deal with clients who have used what HMRC would describe as a tax avoidance product. This may be but is not exclusive to, the contracting sector, property or film investment or via the use of EBTs.
Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will be a self-starter who will be able to get up to speed quickly with the technical aspects of the role. This is a client facing role which will require you to converse comfortably with existing and potential clients with the ability to research topics and provide with a keen interest in reading and understanding legislation. You'll be required to correspond with HMRC on behalf of clients and attend meetings with them supported by senior members of the tax team. A strong background in employment taxes would be an advantage as would knowledge of IR35, investigations or tax litigation.
The ideal candidate will have previous tax experience in a client facing role as well as being qualified or part qualified in a relevant field. The training provided will allow you to reach your full potential and supported by the Head of Tax and Director who are both very experienced and keen to develop the right candidate.
