Are you tired of working for a Big 4 and feeling like just a number?

This Tax Manager opportunity is with a fantastic Top 100 Accountancy Practice which prides itself on being able to supply local, national and international services. Due to both sustained growth in the tax department, an opportunity has arisen for a key member of the tax team. This Tax Manager position will be based in Southampton but there will occasionally be a need to attend or work out of other offices within the Practices as well as to travel to clients' sites.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing their own portfolio of the firm's corporate clients, ranging from pre-revenue early stage companies to large corporate groups with international operations, delivering an efficient and effective corporate tax compliance service. In addition to this, the Tax Manager position will also have a significant advisory element, working closely with the Partners on a range of Tax Planning assignments.

In addition to this, the Tax Manager will be responsible for managing a smaller portfolio of Private Tax clients, providing, transactional tax support, advising on company sales, tax efficient remuneration, R&D tax credits and complex enquiry cases.

The successful applicant will have a corporate or mixed tax background with experience of the wide range of issues facing OMB's. This role would suit candidates already working as a Tax Manager, however, applicants from candidates looking to progress will also be considered. In addition to this, the candidate should also be ACA and/or CTA qualified, coupled with strong communication skills both written and oral. The candidate should also be a personable individual who is a team player, preferably with some leadership experience however this is not a minimum requirement.
