My client, a fast-growing London-based accountancy practice, is looking to appoint a Transfer Pricing specialist to lead their Transfer Pricing business.
The practice, which has achieved firm-wide double-digit growth consistently over the last 18 months, has identified its TP offering as an opportunity for further growth along with added value to their clients.
To date, growth has been accomplished through the strengthening of their wider Corporate and International Corporate Tax teams, with key hires I've helped them with. Now, with a strong international network, the practice is in the right position to further develop.
With a strong client base ranging from start-up to FTSE 250 businesses, the practice has huge amounts of work for you to pick up from the start.
You'd be assisting these firm-wide clients by taking a proactive approach to their portfolios, rather than winning new business for the practice.
Supported by the larger Corporate Tax teams and a strong Partnership group, you'd have unlimited resources to offer specialised technical advice to the clients, growing the TP revenues that are currently coming to the business.
Reporting into the two Corporate Tax Partners, one of which we placed at the end of 2017, you'll have clear direction in how to achieve growth for the practice and support to Partner yourself.
The Ideal Candidate
Due to the nature of the role, you'll have strong technical Transfer Pricing experience, having dealt with complex structures and notable businesses.
Because the practice has an existing book of business, with key clients that they're focussing on other areas for, you're not expected to bring new clients or business develop in the short-medium term.
Along with a specialist TP manager, you'll deliver on the existing work which has largely had a reactive focus, so you'll have good leadership and management skills.
Above all, you'll have the ambition to succeed, with Partner a clear 18-24-month outcome for the right candidate.
