THE CLIENT

Moore Stephens is an established Top 10 accounting and advisory network, with offices throughout the UK and members across the globe operating within 106 countries. Their clients range from individuals and entrepreneurs, through to large organisations and complex international businesses.

THE CHALLENGE

Having joined Pro-Finance to manage the Finance Public Practice team, I quickly established a relationship with Stan at Moore Stephens to discuss their specific recruitment needs. With the current market conditions meaning high-quality candidates were in short supply it was essential that I developed a detailed understanding of the firm’s values and culture to identify the necessary individuals. The focus area was within audit at a newly qualified level through to Manager grade across a variety of sectors. 

OUR SOLUTION

Several initial meetings took place between myself and Stan Gocman to firstly build an understanding of the firm’s structure and key focus areas for recruitment. It was also essential to gain knowledge of their culture and what they specifically look for in the future leaders of their business. Due to the current market conditions, simply advertising was not sufficient to generate candidates so a structured headhunt approach was essential. Time was taken to map the market and identify suitable individuals who would fit the Moore Stephens criteria before approaching them to discuss the specific opportunity. Having an in-depth knowledge of the firm allowed me to effectively promote Moore Stephens as an employer of choice and therefore arrange initial conversations between the individual and the recruitment team at my client.

THE RESULT

Pro-Finance successfully managed to place several key appointments within the audit function of Moore Stephens at both an Audit Senior and Manager level. The candidates have all settled in to become respected and valued members of the team. The processes were smooth and trouble free because of open, honest and effective communication between both parties meaning expectations were understood from day one.  

FOLLOW UP

Twelve months on and we have developed a strong working relationship between Moore Stephens and Pro-Finance to a point where we can genuinely be considered an extension to their recruitment team and form an effective partnership. We continue to be the first point of call for the recruitment team within Moore Stephens and look forward to continuing this successful relationship moving forward.
