About the Company:
Our client is a small but rapidly growing accountancy practice based in Wickford, Essex. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality financial services to a diverse range of clients across various industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and experienced Accounts Senior to join their team and play a key role in supporting their expanding client base.
The Role:
As an Accounts Senior, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Qualified Accountants, Managers, and Directors, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment. You will manage a portfolio of clients, preparing accounts, providing expert advice, and ensuring that their financial needs are met to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Production of management accounts and financial statements
- Handling VAT returns, bookkeeping, and payroll services
- Assisting with tax compliance, including corporate and personal tax returns
- Maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring all deadlines are met
- Supporting the team with ad hoc accounting tasks and projects

About you:
- AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA, or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice
- Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and within a team
