A distinguished firm based in Central London is seeking a highly skilled Audit and Accounts Director Designate to join their established team. This firm is a member of an international network renowned for its excellence in chartered accountancy, audit, and consulting services.

  • Established Presence: The firm is a well-regarded player in the industry with around 40 employees and is part of the international group, which operates over 44 sites globally, including France, Asia, the USA, and England, with a turnover of £100M.
  • Specialized Expertise: The London office is comprised of bilingual international and French consultants specializing in supporting French SMEs and investment funds with their international strategies and London presence.
  • Accreditation: The firm is ICAEW accredited and offers ACCA or ACA training through preferred providers.

Audit and Accounts Director Designate Role Overview:

As an Audit and Accounts Director Designate, the successful candidate will:

  • Leadership: Take on a pivotal role in leading the audit and accounts department, working closely with senior management to shape and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Client Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors, including construction, retail, transport, manufacturing, technology, and property. Clients range in size with turnovers up to £50M.
  • Team Development: Supervise and mentor a team of audit and accounts professionals, including Managers, Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Trainees, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Oversight: Drive strategic planning and decision-making processes within the department, ensuring high standards of service delivery and compliance with FRS102 and IFRS reporting standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize Myworkpapers and Inflo software for audit procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient management of audits and accounts.
