We are working with a dynamic and rapidly growing accountancy firm that is seeking an experienced Audit Partner to establish and expand their audit practice in London. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape the audit division from the ground up, leveraging your expertise to grow the firm's presence in the capital. As the driving force behind the London audit function, you will be responsible for developing a strong client portfolio, recruiting and leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional audit services. This role is perfect for an entrepreneurial professional who thrives on new challenges and is ready to take on a key leadership role within a forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the London audit practice, building a client base and expanding the firm's audit offering in the region.
- Drive business development activities, identifying opportunities for growth and actively seeking out new clients.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality audit engagements across a range of sectors, ensuring compliance with UK audit standards and client expectations.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, becoming a trusted advisor to Boards, Audit Committees, and senior management teams.
- Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of audit professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.
- Work closely with other partners across the firm to align business objectives and ensure a unified approach to service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in audit regulations and industry developments, ensuring the firm's audit practice is compliant and forward-thinking.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with Responsible Individual (RI) status.
- Demonstrable experience at Partner or Director RI level within an audit practice, ideally with a focus on business development and growth.
- Strong business development skills, with a proven ability to win new clients and grow an audit portfolio.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- In-depth technical knowledge of UK audit regulations, including ISA (UK) and relevant industry standards.
- Outstanding communication skills, with experience engaging at the highest levels of client organisations.
- A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to grow a successful audit division from the ground up.
