Your Role as Senior Auditor
In this role, you will be an asset to our client's mission of becoming the best accountancy firm in the South. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Planning audit engagements and leading onsite teams (70% of the time).
- Preparing accounts and drafting tax computations (30% of the time).
- Liaising with clients to resolve any queries, escalating more complex matters to manager/partner.
- Reviewing team members' work before passing the completed file to the manager.
- Coaching juniors and providing feedback on the quality of their work and performance.
- Controlling assignment time in line with pre-determined budgets.
- Using your experience to improve processes and create best practices.
- Maintaining high-quality standards in both audit and service.
- Reporting to senior management and the board.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients to drive the business forward.
What You'll Need to Succeed as Senior Auditor
- ACA or ACCA Qualified with post-qualification experience.
- Experience in planning and leading external audits.
- Enthusiasm to progress in a senior role.
- A good management rapport to mentor the audit team.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102 and experience with audit software (our client uses Caseware).
