Our client is leading and award-winning mid-tier accountancy practice based in the heart of the City of London. They are enjoying considerable growth and are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious Tax Manager to join their OMB tax team. You will either be a Manager already looking for a new and more exciting challenge or a current Assistant Manager looking for a step up in your career and the chance to work with a firm that can match your career ambitions.

Your experience

CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified with five years post qualified experience your will currently be a senior tax professional in a client facing role.

The role

The firm is led by a young and ambitious partner group who have demonstrated that rapid career growth is achievable for high performers.

They are looking for a corporate tax manager to work with the existing tax team and partner group to work on a growing amount of advisory work. This is seen as a key hire in the team and the role will offer a varied range of advisory work. Some assistance with complex compliance reviews and assisting other team members will be required from time to time.

  • Working on small personal service companies to AIM listed entities and multinational groups up to £1bn turnover.
  • Complex company tax Returns compliance
  • Project management from start to finish on advisory work, which could include:
    • Corporate demergers and reconstructions
    • Tax due diligence work
    • R&D tax relief claims
    • Creative industry tax relief claims
    • International business tax
    • Share schemes - EMI etc.
    • EIS/SEIS
    • Property taxes
    • Enquiry work
  • Working directly with partners on their clients and liaising with other teams to deliver results.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Technical research to provide possible solutions to complex tax issues.
  • Promoting the tax team internally and externally
  • Seeking planning opportunities within the current client base
  • Management of WIP, billing and debtors across the team
  • Oversight of the corporation tax team compliance function
