Finance Business Partner - Capital Projects: £60,000 - £65,000 + benefits, London | Hybrid

For a global education company, we are recruiting a Finance Business Partner in the Capital Projects and Professional Services Team. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, this role will partner the business to help decision-making, deliver insight and challenge. This role will lead on project finance governance and is the key Finance Business Partner for transformation capital projects. The role will lead on financial assessments of new opportunities, cost and investment appraisals, ROI, and product profitability performance.

Main Duties:

  • Partner with Project leads and challenge financial and non-financial working assumptions
  • Prepare, report, and review financial data for Project Product Board for ongoing benefits realisation
  • Prepare robust project forecasts including analysing variances to forecast for month-end
  • Analyse variance between forecast and actual cost for Investment Dashboard
  • Supporting the project team with financial investment requests up to CFO approval
  • Manage and own the quarterly Forecast model and forecast / Budget reporting for all costs (Capex and Opex) for accounting projects
  • Translate project working capital financial information and track performance KPIs
  • Production of Overhead's monthly management reporting packs, commentary and analysis of performance and trends
  • Provision of regular insightful analysis for decision making including project and product profitability reporting
  • Lead on product pricing, performance reporting, commercial modelling, and profitability analysis

Person Specification:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
  • Project Accounting and Capex project experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and working knowledge of Sun Systems (ideally)
  • Strong experience in a finance business partnering role
  • Experience of working in a multicultural and multisite organisation
  • Experience of applying commercial principles to their analysis and recommendations
  • Strong FP&A and financial modelling, ROI, and investment appraisals experience
