I am working with a rapidly expanding mid-tier professional services firm based in London who are seeking an experienced Financial Services Audit Partner to join their team and contribute to their continued growth and success. The role plays a pivotal role in leading our client's audit practice within the financial services sector, and as a key member of their team, you will lead and manage audit engagements, provide strategic guidance, and foster strong client relationships to drive the firm's success in this dynamic industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements within the financial services sector, covering investment management, asset management, fintech, private equity, and other financial institutions.
- Offer technical expertise and guidance to audit teams on complex accounting and auditing issues specific to the financial services industry.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering tailored solutions to meet their audit and assurance needs.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business development and revenue growth within the financial services sector, leveraging the firm's capabilities and expertise.
- Mentor and develop audit staff, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to contribute to the overall strategic direction and growth of the firm, including participating in firm-wide initiatives and goals.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) or equivalent with Responsible Individual (RI) status.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing audit engagements across various subsectors of financial services.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial services sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a passion for developing and mentoring others.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and pursue business opportunities within the financial services market.
