Hedge Fund/VC Tax Manager

Company: A prestigious Big 4 Firm based in London is currently seeking a Hedge Fund/VC Tax Manager to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview: The Hedge Fund/VC Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in providing tax compliance and advisory services to hedge fund and venture capital clients. This multifaceted position involves handling compliance work, providing strategic advice, and contributing to M&A tax planning. The successful candidate will work closely with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations, ensuring compliance while optimising tax efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of hedge fund and venture capital clients, overseeing their tax compliance requirements.
  • Offering strategic tax advice, including M&A tax planning and structuring.
  • Collaborating with other departments within the firm to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members, effectively delegating tasks.
  • Cultivating strong client relationships, tailoring tax solutions to their specific needs.
  • Staying abreast of relevant tax legislation and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a robust tax background.
  • Desirable experience in personal tax, partnership tax, or mixed tax.
  • Confidence in managing fast-paced clients and handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Essential project management experience.
