In-House Tax Advisory and M&A Manager

City of London (hybrid working model, est. 2 office days per week)

£85,000 - 90,000 + bonuses & benefits

A global financial services business will be hiring an In-House Tax Advisory & M&A Manager. Situated within the group function and reporting directly to the Tax Director, the successful candidate will hold a broad and varied role in a large team.

This position is purposed to support the business with (UK and International) tax technical advice, navigating ongoing legislation changes which impact both domestic and overseas operations. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead on the review of all relevant M&A tax activity and lead on group tax projects/transactions which require input.

This makes an excellent opportunity for the experienced Tax Manager (or recent Senior Tax Manager) coming from an international tax (or M&A) Tax Team of a Big 4 professional accountancy firm, looking to make their first move in-house.

The successful candidate's CV:

  • ACA/CTA qualification essential
  • Solid technical underpinnings with international tax advisory and experience independently managing projects. Specifically experienced with PE risks, CFC, diverted profits tax and M&A.
  • Accustomed to operating at Manager/Senior Manager level
  • In-house/secondment experience is considered advantageous but not essential
  • Though not involved in this position, any previous experience in overseeing compliance and reporting processes considered advantageous
  • The right to work permanently in the UK is required for this post
