This is an opportunity to join the best VAT team in the Midlands and embark on a journey to Partnership.

You will be working for a prominent international firm that has experienced remarkable growth in recent years with 2024 looking to be their best year to date. In this role you will work with a broad client portfolio that will span all sectors from retail, technology, food and manufacturing and more.

About the Role:

Your primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors. You will also assist Directors and Partners in providing VAT services and potentially managing team members.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice on VAT issues such as expanding into new jurisdictions, handling HMRC disputes, and VAT treatment of new income streams.
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Identifying profitable advisory work
  • Assisting with tender proposals.
  • Training staff on VAT matters.


This firm is ideally looking for an individual keen to progress to Director quickly with a commercial eye and real ambition.

The ideal candidate for this job should possess the following qualifications:

- An up-to-date knowledge and experience of VAT technical skills, covering a wide range of issues in large corporate and owner-managed businesses.
- Ability to handle VAT advisory matters and write reports.
- A comprehensive understanding of key VAT principles.
- Capability to explain complex issues in a simple manner that non-VAT experts can easily understand.
