In-House Indirect Tax Manager, Insurance

London - hybrid working model

£75,000 - £85,000 + bonuses & benefits

Reporting to the Head of Tax, this position is purposed to take ownership VAT and IPT, supporting with some wider tax affairs in ensuring compliance in a fast-moving tax environment, with a significant involvement in advisory projects.

Responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and developing the group's VAT strategy
• Managing the review of Group VAT and IPT returns
• Managing the Partial Exemption Special Method
• Liaising with HMRC and external advisors
• Advising on VAT implications of acquisitions
• Collaborating with and advising finance and commercial teams

The successful candidate

• ACA/CTA qualification
• Strong UK VAT compliance and advisory experience
• Experience within the financial services and working with partial exemptions
• Any IPT experience considered advantageous
• Exposure to international or employment taxes considered advantageous
