Tax Manager for Sports, Music, and Entertainment Professionals
Key Responsibilities In This Role:
- Navigate Complex Tax Matters: Handle intricate tax issues with expertise, focusing on the unique needs of clients from the sports, music, and entertainment sectors.
- Client-Focused Advice: Provide clear, tailored tax advice, ensuring clients from these dynamic industries receive insights specific to their professional landscape.
- Direct Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients to fully understand their requirements and offer bespoke solutions that align with their career goals.
- Identify Needs for Detailed Advice: Recognise when clients may benefit from more in-depth consultation, ensuring their complex needs are met with precision.
- Coordination with Internal Teams: Collaborate with internal departments (Accounts, Business Management, and Payroll) to ensure seamless and timely delivery of services.
- Explore Additional Services: Identify and propose additional services that may benefit clients, working with subject specialists to provide comprehensive support.
- Manage HMRC Enquiries: Handle inquiries from HMRC on behalf of clients, ensuring their interests are effectively represented and managed.
- Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients from the sports, music, and entertainment fields, ensuring compliance and satisfaction.
- Guide Junior Team Members: Offer mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering their development and contributing to a cohesive team environment.
- Billing and Debt Collection: Take responsibility for client billing and debt collection, ensuring financial processes are handled efficiently.
- Internal Training Participation: Engage in internal tax technical training sessions to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
What this firm are looking for:
- Professional Qualification: Hold a professional qualification (CTA or equivalent); experience with private clients is advantageous but not essential.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining productivity under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Technical Tax Research: Skilled in conducting technical tax research and translating complex concepts into clear advice for clients.
- Experience with Self-Assessment: Proven experience in reviewing self-assessment tax returns.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational abilities to manage workloads, monitor time charges, and adhere to budgets.
- Technical Knowledge: Committed to maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge in the field.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
