Are you a dynamic and experienced tax professional with a passion for R&D? Our client, a prestigious firm based in the heart of Cambridge, is seeking a talented R&D Tax Manager to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop an innovative R&D tax function, working with a diverse range of clients from cutting-edge startups to established enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead R&D Tax Projects: Manage and deliver R&D tax credit claims and other related tax incentives for a varied client base.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice on R&D tax matters and identifying potential opportunities for tax savings.
  • Team Management: Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest tax regulations and industry trends, ensuring compliance and maximising client benefits.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of the firm.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience: Proven track record in R&D tax credits and incentives, with experience in a managerial role.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK R&D tax legislation and HMRC guidelines.
  • Attributes: Proactive, client-focused, and commercially aware with a keen interest in technology and innovation sectors.
