Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished tax professional to join a market-leading Real Estate Transactions team within a broader Deals and Advisory practice. The group provides expert guidance on the tax aspects of a wide variety of complex transactions, covering restructuring, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and real assets.
As a senior leader within the Real Estate Tax team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality advice on domestic and cross-border deals for a diverse portfolio of clients - including institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, real estate funds, REITs, and global corporates. This is a fantastic chance to shape significant transactions and influence strategic tax outcomes for major market players.
What You'll Do
- Take overall responsibility for the design and direction of client projects, ensuring work is delivered to the highest professional standards.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and oversee complex advisory engagements from inception to completion.
- Lead, mentor, and support team members, promoting continuous development and knowledge sharing.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships by understanding their commercial drivers and providing forward-thinking tax advice.
- Offer deep technical expertise and commercial insight on real estate and transactional tax matters.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a strategic, people-focused leader with a passion for delivering practical and insightful tax advice. You'll have a strong track record in either Real Estate Tax or UK Corporate Tax, ideally gained within a professional services or in-house environment.
Essential skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience advising on complex real estate or corporate tax transactions.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver results under pressure.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the confidence to influence at senior levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commercial mindset.
- A recognised accounting or tax qualification (CTA, ACA, or equivalent), or relevant professional experience gained internationally.
Why This Role?
You'll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking team where your expertise will directly shape client outcomes and business growth. The environment encourages autonomy, innovation, and continuous professional development, providing an excellent platform for long-term career progression.
