Recruitment Development Officer (12 month FTC)
Are you looking to support safer recruitment practices to enable meaningful change within the charity sector?
Our client is at a significant point of change and are seeking to take a new approach to volunteer recruitment as part of that change programme and taking a new approach to volunteer recruitment is an important part of this process.
You will lead on developing effective safer recruitment processes for volunteers, with appropriate pro forma documentation and training key people to implement procedures moving forward.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include -
- Draft and develop a process for volunteer recruitment, following the principles of safer recruitment. Develop and consult on pro forma documentation and associated guidance documentation to enable implementation of the new process, from advert, induction, and completion of the introductory period.
- Develop an appropriate skills audit template for use by committees.
- Support committees in the writing of initial role descriptions and person specifications and coordinate their completion.
- Provide training on the new process
You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent experience, already experienced working in an HR environment implementing Safer Recruitment principles and practices. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Knowledge of HR systems, policies and procedures and experience of delivering training is essential.
