M&A Advisory Partner - Transaction Advisory Services

Company Overview: With a focus on both private and capital markets, they've established themselves as leaders in providing financial insights and strategic guidance to companies seeking growth opportunities. As they continue to expand, they're seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the development of their private M&A advisory practice.


  1. Business Development: Drive the growth of their private M&A advisory practice by leveraging your extensive network of contacts within private equity (PE) firms, venture capital (VC) businesses, and corporate finance houses. Identify new opportunities, cultivate relationships, and generate a consistent workflow from these key stakeholders.

  2. Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and transaction support throughout the M&A process. Conduct financial due diligence, assess deal structures, and facilitate negotiations to achieve successful outcomes for both buyers and sellers.

  3. Market Expansion: Identify emerging trends and opportunities within their target sectors, and develop tailored strategies to capitalise on these market dynamics. Collaborate with the wider TAS team to enhance their service offerings and meet the evolving needs of our clients.

  4. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Provide guidance on complex transactions, share industry insights, and contribute to the professional growth of the team.

  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with their other service lines to provide integrated solutions to clients. Collaborate on client engagements, leverage complementary expertise, and explore opportunities for cross-selling TAS and tax advisory services.


  • Extensive experience (ideally 10+ years) in private M&A advisory, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in originating and executing transactions.
  • Strong network of contacts within the private equity, venture capital, and corporate finance communities, with the ability to generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of financial analysis, deal structuring, and transaction execution, with the ability to provide strategic insights and guidance to clients throughout the M&A lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members, foster a collaborative team environment, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
