Trust & Personal Tax Assistant Manager

1. Job Description: The position is within a well-established legal specialist firm that offers a wide range of services to various clients, including businesses, charities, private owner businesses, and high-net-worth individuals. The role is centered around personal tax and trust work.

2. Team and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work closely with three well-connected Partners and will be responsible for a mix of personal tax compliance, trust accounting, and collaborating with the Partners to ensure clients' ongoing tax planning is accurate.

3. Specialisation: The focus of this role is on UK tax and trust matters. Offshore experience is not required, but a high level of expertise in UK tax and trust for high-net-worth individuals is essential.

4. Work Distribution: The job's responsibilities are divided roughly into 60% compliance work and 40% tax planning, including the preparation of tax returns.

5. Desired Qualities: The firm is looking for a self-starter who can work independently with a high level of autonomy. Being able to work effectively in a team is also important.
