Your role as an Accounts & Audit Senior:
This role offers a split of 80% Accounts and 20% Audit.
- Preparing statutory accounts and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Aswell as some involvement in audit cycles.
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations.
- Managing a varied portfolio of client assignments from planning through to completion.
- Building long-term relationships with clients and providing excellent service.
- Using cloud-based accounting software including Xero, Sage and other industry-leading systems.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately, on time and within agreed budgets.
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Working closely with managers and partners on more complex assignments.
- Continuously developing your technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
What you'll need to succeed:
- You will be ACA/ACCA qualified or a Finalist.
- At least 3 years' experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts for a range of business entities.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong Excel and IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience with Xero, Sage, Caseware or CCH (desirable).
- A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to develop both personally and professionally.
