North London / Hybrid (2 days in the office + Central London hot-desk)

I'm currently working with a well-established, forward-thinking accountancy practice who are looking for a qualified ACA/ACCA Accounts Manager to join their growing team.

This role offers the chance to support a Partner and Associate Director on a portfolio worth around £600k, giving you exposure to a wide range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and UK subsidiaries of international groups. If you have experience working with groups or international clients, that will be a real plus.

The Accounts Manager Role

As Accounts Manager, you'll be:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of OMB and SME cross-sector clients
  • Reviewing statutory accounts, corporation tax, and ad-hoc advisory projects.
  • Collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of Seniors and Trainees, supporting their development.
  • Working closely with Partners and ADs, building strong client relationships.
  • Getting involved in wider assignments such as due diligence and restructures.

What's Needed

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with 3-5+ years PQE.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards.
  • Experience with CCH and Xero.
  • Commercially minded, well-organised, and confident in managing relationships.
  • A supportive leader with a collaborative approach.
