The Accounts Manager Role
As an Accounts Manager, you will:

Manage a sizeable client portfolio and act as the main point of contact

Oversee statutory accounts and corporation tax work
-
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of seniors, semi‑seniors and trainees
-
Plan, supervise, and finalise assignments from onboarding to completion
-
Work closely with audit, tax, and cloud accounting teams
-
Support advisory work including restructures, due diligence and outsourced finance
-
Improve systems, processes, and workflow efficiency
-
Provide commercial insight and support senior leadership
What You'll Need
-
ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years PQE
-
Strong knowledge of FRS 102, UK corporation tax and auditing standards

Experience managing a portfolio and reviewing statutory accounts

Confident with cloud systems - Xero experience is a bonus

Familiarity with CCH (training available)

Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
-
Ability to lead and develop junior team members
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
