We are working with one of the Big 4 firms in London, who are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join its growing Accounting Services team. This is an opportunity to work within a team that delivers high-quality accounting and compliance solutions to a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients.
The team supports a broad range of businesses - from large corporates to multinational groups - helping them meet their statutory obligations while enhancing financial processes, controls and reporting frameworks. As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio and play a key role in delivering accounting and financial reporting services. You will also contribute to wider advisory and process improvement initiatives as the service offering continues to evolve.
What you will be doing an Accounts Senior:
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements
- Producing management accounts and overseeing bookkeeping activities
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Supporting accounting compliance engagements and related projects
- Contributing to proposals and helping expand the accounting services offering
- Advising on process improvements, controls, systems and reporting enhancements
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Undertaking client secondments where required, based on project needs
- This is a dynamic role offering exposure to varied industries, complex technical work and direct client interaction.
What you will need to succeed as an Accounts Senior:
- Hold an ACA or ACCA qualification (or recognised international equivalent)
- Possess strong technical accounting expertise in financial reporting
- Have solid knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, with some familiarity with US GAAP
- Be confident using accounting software and demonstrate strong Excel skills
- Thrive in deadline-driven environments while maintaining high standards
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Be adaptable and comfortable working across changing client environments
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
