Our client, a highly regarded mid-tier professional services firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join their Private Client team.
This team provides a broad range of audit, accounting, and advisory services to privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and Directors, supporting a growing portfolio of clients while delivering high-quality, value-added services.

What you will be doing as an Audit Assistant Manager
- Leading audits and preparing statutory accounts for UK and international groups under FRS102 & FRS105
- Acting as a primary contact for clients, supporting Engagement Partners
- Delivering value-added audit insights, including reporting on risk, controls, and financial performance
- Managing statutory and management accounts processes
- Providing technical accounting support on complex issues, including share schemes
- Collaborating with internal teams (tax, corporate finance, etc.) to deliver joined-up client service
- Managing deadlines across a portfolio of clients
- Budgeting, billing, and overall client engagement management
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior staff
- Supporting business development and networking activities
- Contributing to wider advisory work, including exposure to forensic accounting and business valuation
What you will need to succeed as an Audit Assistant Manager
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong audit and accounts experience gained within practice
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Excellent knowledge of FRS102 & FRS105
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Experience with accounting/audit systems (e.g. CCH) is beneficial but not essential
