Audit Partner - Leeds - Independent Firm

We're working on behalf of a well-established, independent accountancy firm to appoint an Audit Partner to play a key role in the next phase of its growth. The firm is seeking an accomplished Audit Partner to be based in its Yorkshire headquarters, joining the senior leadership team with a clear mandate to grow and shape the audit practice. This is a senior, market-facing role suited to an individual who enjoys being visible in the market, building long-term relationships and developing a strong sector and regional presence. The successful candidate will take ownership of expanding the audit portfolio, enhancing brand profile and positioning the firm as a trusted audit adviser to owner-managed and mid-market businesses across sectors such as manufacturing, wholesale, charities and financial services.

While the role includes responsibility for a small, high-quality client portfolio, its primary focus is strategic growth. The Audit Partner will lead the national audit agenda, setting direction for future expansion, developing go-to-market strategy and helping to build a high-performing audit team aligned with the wider ambitions of the firm. A key element of the position is active business development, identifying opportunities, converting new work and cultivating strong relationships with clients, prospects and professional intermediaries at senior level. The role also carries a strong leadership remit, contributing to firm-wide strategy, culture and decision-making alongside the wider partner group.
