I'm working with a well-established Top 50 accountancy firm that is looking to recruit an Audit Semi Senior into its Wigan team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build on their audit experience within a supportive, growing practice, gaining exposure to a varied client portfolio while continuing to develop technically and progress towards qualification.

What you will be doing as an Audit Semi Senior

• You'll work closely with experienced audit professionals, supporting the delivery of audit assignments for a diverse range of clients across a variety of sectors.
• Assisting with the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments.
• Carrying out audit fieldwork, testing and preparing supporting working papers.
• Preparing statutory accounts and audit documentation where required.
• Working with clients to obtain information and resolve queries throughout the audit process.
• Supporting more junior team members and working collaboratively with colleagues across the department.
• Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
• Developing your technical knowledge and taking on increasing responsibility as you progress.

What you will need to succeed as an Audit Semi Senior

• Experience working within an audit or accountancy practice environment.
• Progress towards ACA or ACCA qualification, with study support available.
• A solid understanding of audit procedures and accounting principles.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing your own workload.
• A proactive approach and a genuine interest in developing a long-term career in audit.
