Audit Senior - Reading - Up to £54,650

A fast-growing, internationally connected accountancy firm is looking to hire an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Senior to join its expanding Reading team.

This is an opportunity to join a firm that combines the resources, technical depth, and client exposure of a major national player with a culture that still feels collaborative, approachable, and genuinely people-focused. The audit team locally has more than doubled in size over the last few years, driven by significant client wins and continued investment - creating very real progression opportunities for ambitious auditors.

You'll work with a broad portfolio of clients including owner-managed businesses, large corporates, AIM-listed companies, and not-for-profit organisations across a wide variety of sectors. It's an environment where recently qualified auditors can continue developing quickly, gain exposure to complex work, and build strong client-facing experience.

The firm is particularly interested in individuals who bring energy, personality, and a genuine enthusiasm for audit - not just technical ability. They want people who enjoy building relationships, mentoring trainees, contributing ideas, and being part of a growing and ambitious team.

The role:

* Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners on a varied client base
* Supervising and mentoring trainees and junior team members
* Developing strong client relationships and delivering a high-quality service
* Gaining exposure to corporate, listed, and owner-managed businesses across multiple sectors
* Contributing to a growing and forward-thinking audit team

About you:

* ACA or ACCA qualified (or very close to qualification)
* Strong UK accountancy practice audit experience
* Confident working directly with clients and leading audits
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ambitious, collaborative, and keen to continue developing your career

What's on offer:

* Salary up to £54,650
* Clear progression opportunities within a rapidly growing audit team
* Exposure to high-quality and varied clients
* Hybrid and flexible working approach
* Strong learning, development, and mentoring culture
* Supportive and collaborative team environment
* Access to international resources and technical expertise through a global network

Please note: sponsorship is not available for this role. Applicants must already have permanent right to work in the UK.
