A leading mid-tier accountancy and advisory firm in Manchester is looking to appoint an ambitious Audit Senior to join its expanding Audit & Assurance team.

As an Audit Senior, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of audit assignments, working closely with managers and partners while mentoring junior team members. This role offers genuine exposure to high-quality clients, early responsibility and clear opportunities for progression within a rapidly expanding practice.

What you will be doing as an Audit Senior

  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the audit process.
  • Supervise, coach and review the work of junior members of the audit team.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and partners to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients.
  • Support the continued growth of the audit department through exceptional client delivery.

What you will need to succeed as an Audit Senior

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or recently qualified, with up to two years' post-qualified experience.
  • Previous audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines effectively.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach with a genuine desire to develop your career.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding client service and working as part of a collaborative team.
