An established and forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking to appoint a commercially minded Client Services Director to join its growing Manchester team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Client Manager ready to step up into a Director position, or an established Director looking for a new challenge where they can play a key role in driving growth, developing client relationships and leading a successful accounts team.

Working closely with the wider leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the firm's continued success, combining client service excellence with commercial development and team leadership.

What you will be doing as a Client Services Director

• You'll take responsibility for a diverse portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services.
• Managing and developing your own varied client portfolio, building long-term relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Leading and overseeing the delivery of accounts and advisory services, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Working closely with other Directors and departments to provide a joined-up service to clients.
• Identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships and develop additional service lines.
• Driving business development activity, including networking, identifying prospects, leading pitches and converting new business opportunities.
• Taking ownership of larger and more complex client assignments, supported by the wider accounts team.
• Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Leading, coaching and developing team members, supporting their professional growth and performance.
• Contributing to the wider strategic direction and continued growth of the practice.

What you will need to succeed as a Client Services Director

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Experience within an accountancy practice at Senior Manager or Director level, although an ambitious Senior Client Manager ready to take the next step will also be considered.
• Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses.
• A strong commercial mindset and a genuine appetite for business development and winning new clients.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication and client management skills.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities, improving processes and developing client services.
• Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues across different service lines.
• Experience of CCH would be advantageous.
