I'm working with a highly regarded accountancy and advisory firm to recruit a Corporate Tax Director into their growing Midlands tax team.

The Opportunity
Joining a well-resourced Corporate Tax team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future direction of the function while working closely with Partners, Senior Managers, and clients across a broad range of tax matters.
The role offers an excellent balance of leadership, advisory work, and team development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting colleagues, and delivering commercially focused tax advice.
You'll be instrumental in supporting the continued growth of the team while helping to develop technical capability across the wider department.

The Role
As Corporate Tax Director, you'll work closely with Partners and the wider tax leadership team to deliver a mix of compliance and advisory services while supporting the development of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior and mid-level tax professionals
- Working closely with Senior Managers and Partners on client delivery
- Leading and supporting corporate tax advisory assignments
- Attending client meetings and acting as a trusted adviser
- Supporting the development of the team's technical capability
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Advising owner-managed businesses on a range of corporate tax matters
- Supporting the growth and strategic direction of the tax function
- Contributing to business development initiatives and identifying opportunities within existing relationships
- Mentoring and developing future leaders within the team
What You'll Need
- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified
- Extensive corporate tax experience gained within practice
- Strong advisory background with the ability to deliver commercially focused solutions
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses
- Proven ability to build and maintain senior client relationships
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience developing and mentoring tax professionals
- Commercial mindset with an interest in helping grow a tax function
- Exposure to R&D tax work would be advantageous but is not essential
