This is a well-established regional firm with a strong presence across the South East and an expanding tax function. The Corporate Tax team works collaboratively across offices and supports a broad client base, from entrepreneurial growth businesses to larger corporate groups and international structures.

The work is varied, fast paced and technically strong, offering exposure to both UK and international tax matters.

Your role as Corporate Tax Manager

You will oversee corporate tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring high standards of delivery.

This is primarily a compliance-led role, but with the opportunity to advise on corporate tax planning projects within your portfolio. You will also support and mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the wider Corporate Tax offering.

Day to day, you will:

  • Manage and review complex corporation tax returns and computations
  • Oversee compliance deadlines and ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Act as the main tax contact for key corporate clients
  • Advise on corporate tax matters including reorganisations, demergers, loan relationships and share schemes
  • Support work relating to R&D, EIS, acquisition due diligence and business sales
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider tax and advisory teams
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior members of the Corporate Tax team

What you'll need to succeed

  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Strong experience within UK Corporate Tax
  • Confidence managing a portfolio of corporate clients independently
  • Solid understanding of UK corporation tax and its interaction with international matters
  • Exposure to areas such as transfer pricing, double taxation relief and cross-border issues advantageous
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and manage deadlines
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff beneficial
  • Willingness to travel to other offices or client sites when required
